On the occasion of World Environment Day, an inspiring environmental awareness program was organized at New Samarth English School, Satellite Area, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The objective of the program was to promote environmental awareness among students, educators, and the wider community, while encouraging a sense of responsibility towards nature and sustainable living.

The program was graced by Dr. Sandeep R. Pandya, Member Judge, District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Kheda / Ahmedabad Rural (I/C) Gandhinagar (I/C), as the chief speaker. He was joined by Ms. Priti Mahadevia, Managing Trustee of the school, Ms. Ronak Mehta, Principal, along with the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff members.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pandya emphasized the urgent need for environmental conservation and stated that protecting nature is not only the responsibility of governments and institutions but also a personal duty of every individual. He encouraged everyone to adopt a meaningful practice of planting a tree on the birthdays of family members and on the birth and death anniversaries of beloved and respected relatives. He explained that such a practice transforms cherished memories into living contributions to nature and creates a lasting legacy for future generations.

The program featured discussions on environmental protection, tree plantation, conservation of natural resources, and the adoption of sustainable lifestyles. Students and staff actively participated in the discussions and pledged to contribute towards environmental conservation through conscious actions in their daily lives.

The initiative served not only as an awareness campaign but also as a platform to inspire long-term sustainable habits within the school community. The event concluded with a collective commitment to nurture nature and safeguard the environment for future generations.

“Plant a tree, grow a memory, and protect humanity.”
