HEALTH CAMP ORGANIZED AT ADARSH BAL GRIH, MANDLA; ORPHANED CHILDREN BENEFIT FROM HEALTHCARE, YOGA, AND LEGAL AWARENESS

Mandla: A special Health and Awareness Camp was successfully organized at Adarsh Bal Grih, Mandla, through the joint efforts of the World Human Rights Research Council (WHRRC), Mandla, and the District Legal Services Authority. The program was conducted under the leadership of Mrs. Shikha Srivastava, State President (General Cell), Madhya Pradesh, and Para Legal Volunteer of WHRRC, in the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Mr. Tapan Dharga, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority and Judicial Magistrate. The camp was organized with the support of the AYUSH Department and focused on the health examination and welfare of children residing at the shelter home.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp before the portraits of Bharat Mata and Goddess Saraswati. Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Mr. Tapan Dharga appreciated the humanitarian and social welfare initiatives undertaken by WHRRC and encouraged the children to adopt a disciplined and healthy lifestyle, especially during the summer season. District AYUSH Officer Dr. Ekta Walko conducted health check-ups and educated the children about balanced nutrition, healthy habits, and the importance of incorporating yoga into their daily routine.

During the program, WHRRC State Media In-Charge Mrs. Mamta Chourasia highlighted the organization’s awareness campaigns and special observance programs, while State Legal Advisor Advocate Durgesh Agrawal emphasized the importance of free legal aid and explained how WHRRC works in coordination with the District Legal Services Authority to help individuals access justice and legal support. Active members Mrs. Deepti Nareliya, Mrs. Shikha Soni, and Mrs. Rashmi Patel motivated the children on topics related to mental well-being, self-confidence, skill development, and positive life values.

The camp also included yoga and pranayama sessions, comprehensive health screenings, and the distribution of essential medicines. In addition, educational materials and food items were distributed among the children by WHRRC members. The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including Dr. Ekta Walko, Assistant AYUSH Officer Mr. Deepak Kumar Pathak, Yoga Teacher Mr. Drishyadeepak, WHRRC State Media In-Charge Mrs. Mamta Chourasia, Active Members Mrs. Shikha Soni, Mrs. Deepti Nareliya, and Mrs. Rashmi Patel, along with Adarsh Bal Grih Superintendent Mr. Aqeel Khan, Counselor Ms. Preeti Shrivastava, and other staff members.

The initiative reflected a strong commitment toward child welfare, healthcare, legal awareness, and the holistic development of vulnerable children, reinforcing the collective responsibility of society towards their well-being and future.
